The Temptation of Eve: Reviewer Rated by Rich Moreland - A romance from New Sensations/Digital Sin, the Temptation of Eve stars Remy Lacroix, Xander Corvus, Tommy Pistol, India Summer, and Bailey Blue, directed by Jacky St. James and Eddie Powell.
The directorial and cinematographic team of Jacky St. James and Eddie Powell has another winner for the New Sensations film vault. The Temptation of Eve borders on a love triangle that has the potential to create havoc. Eve (Remy Lacroix) is an old girlfriend of Brandon Parker (Xander Corvus) who just happens to count Danny (Tommy Pistol) among his good amigos. Problem is, Tommy is Eve’s new lover.
Unfortunately, Tommy is down on his luck, having lost his graphic artist job. Eve is likewise unemployed, replaced at work by a "blonde bimbo," Jen (Bailey Blue), whose rumored blow jobs brighten the office staff.
Needing a place to stay, the couple moves in with Brandon. Of course, Eve doesn’t tell Tommy she has a past with his friend. On the other hand, Brandon sees an opportunity to re-claim his favorite squeeze; they once had a torrid weekend romance that failed to last due to Brandon’s fear of commitment.
Jacky St. James’ script is solid and the movie is definitely worthy of every award it has garnered. As I have previously said of St. James’ work, it's Hollywood quality and I wish she had more money and more time (weeks rather than days) to shoot her films. They are that good.
During her stay in Brandon’s house, Eve discovers his journal that recount his sexual conquests. She also stumbles across some nude photos of herself that date to their time together. Captivated by his accounts, Eve gets herself off while reading them. Most of the film's sex scenes appear as flashbacks from the journal.
Each carnal scene serves a different purpose. The first is Brandon and one of his renters Veronica (India Summer). She does him for a break in her rent and offers a long-term agreement, but he has no interest in entanglements. India Summer is the perfect MILF, hard bodied with eager holes to fill. The sex is sensational andIndia’s acting skills are superb.
The second sexual episode is one of the best this reviewer has seen in adult film. Possessing a darkly shaded quality, the segment features Eve and Danny. As he does throughout the film, Eddie Powell shoots the sequence using his camera movement to communicate the flow of the sex. It’s not rough and raw, more quiet and intimate. Remy Lacroix’s sensuality drives the narrative and as Eve she clings to her lover rather giving in to a hard pounding. While Danny is a shield againstBrandon pressures, Eve has the task of keeping her past with Brandon away from him, a fragile balance the scene projects.
When Brandon wants to show off in Eve’s presence, he brings home the raunchy Jen. Their sex (the third scene) is in the hallway and features Bailey Blue’s oral work and sultry body. For fans who want pure lust, keep an eye out for this rendition.
As the film winds to its conclusion, Danny and Eve prepare to leave. He has found a job in Seattle. Brandon scoots off with a new slut for an afternoon of fun giving Eve the opportunity to check the house one last time. In Brandon's bedroom, she finds another journal he has deliberately left for her to read. It’s a history of their time together and sparks the final sex scene, another flashback that is the long awaited drilling Brandon gives his old girlfriend. Incidentally, Remy Lacroix is fabulous as a sex machine and an actress.
For the record, a Jacky St. James romance rarely includes anal or facials (though I’m sure Bailey and Remy would have accommodated both in this film!), and there are no DPs. Nevertheless, the sex scenes in the Temptation of Eve are adroitly placed throughout the film. Just remember to follow the storyline and appreciate how adult film can be art.
