Bonjour mon amis! Comment ca va? Myles Shaffer here. This article will be about what in my opinion is the world's greatest adult entertainment industry convention and trade show. So please read on and be entertained people.
Tuesday, January 19, included a drive to Las Vegas, Nevada, and a motel check-in.
A little later in the evening, my Editor-in-Chief, Steve Nelson, went to pick Jenna Jayden up from the Las Vegas airport. Once the two of them had arrived back at our motel, the three of us went to the Tuscany Hotel where we met up with Bill Knight and Rich Moreland. We then all had a late dinner together in one of the hotel's restaurants.
Wednesday, January 20
On this the first day of the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, the people that I ran into whom I already knew or had at least met before were: Julia Ann, Rebecca Bardoux, Lily Cade, Brooklyn Chase, Tia Cyrus, Kiki Daire, Lisa Daniels, Nikki Delano, Leya Falcon, Karen Fisher, owner, publisher, and editor of Glamour Girl Magazine Rich Hanson and his wife, Allie Haze, Tod Hunter, Kenna James, Sara Jay, Remy LaCroix, Shawna Lenee, Sheridan Love, Gianna Michaels, Nikki Phoenix, John Stagliano, Luna Star, Crystal Storm, Sarah Vandella, Vicky Vette, and Jennifer White.
The people I met for the first time on this day were: Nadia Ali, Kate Alton, August Ames, Anny Aurora, Kendra Cole, Hope Harper, Harlow Harrison, Nikki Hearts, Amber Ivy, Jenna Jay, Mia Lelani, Alexis Love, Daisy Monroe, Vanlentina Nappi, Audrey Noir, Zoey Paige, Adria Rae, Leigh Raven, Romance, Jenna J. Ross, Raquel Sultra, Brooke Tyler, Veronica Vain, Jodi West, and Brooke Wylde.
Thursday, January 21
The people I ran into on the convention floor this day that I knew or had at least met before were: Vicki Chase, Abby Cross, James Deen, Cherie Deville, Michael Fattorosi, Nicky Ferrari, Ashley Fires, Jenna Ivory, Jessica Jaymes, Kayden Kross, Miles Long, Syren De Mer, Daejha Milan, Katie Morgan, Rilynn Rae, Riley Reynolds, Brett Rossi, Christie Stevens, Evan Stone, Alexis Texas, and Kevin Wenger.
The people I met for the first time during the day were: Cher Adele, Aria Alexander, Cory Chase, Alena Croft, Audrey Gold, Leah Gotti, Tina Kay, Katie Kid, Jo Jo Kiss, Alice Lighthouse, Eva Lovia, models Baby Janie and Baby Brunette who were representing RubbenNipple.com, Nikki Nice, Aspen Rae, Liza Rowe, Jessica Ryan, Savannah Stevens, and Courtney Taylor.
During the evening, it was off to Sapphire Gentlemen's Club to attend, "Rebecca Bardoux's Carnal Comedy All Adult Film Star Comedy Show." The show was hosted by Rebecca Bardoux of course.
After first arriving, I found myself seated at a table next to the table of Alexandra Silk, Luc Wylder, and another couple I didn't know. (I never did find out who the other couple might have been.)
The show opened with a burlesque style performance by Kalani Kokonuts. Next up after Kalani's performance was a comedy routine by Kurt Lockwood. Kurt ended his bit with an impersonation of Napoleon Dynamite doing a male striptease. Next came Rebecca Love doing a standup comedy routine. Rebecca was followed by Kyle Stone. In addition to doing a comedy bit, Kyle conducted a raffle drawing. Next to do comedy was the legendary Nina Hartley. Once Nina had finished, the legendary Ron Jeremy walked onto the stage playing his harmonica. Ron then proceeded to do a comedy routine of his own. Last but certainly not least was the irrepressible Evan Stone who in my opinion, and the opinions of a few other people I spoke with about it, stole the show.
Friday, January 22
The people I saw during this day whom I already knew or had at the least met before were: Britney Amber, James Bartholet, Summer Brielle, Bliss Dulce, Manuel Ferrara, Savannah Fox, Max Hardcore, Chanell Heart, Moe Johnson, Sunny Lane, Kaylani Lei, Monica Rise, Lexington Steele, Misty Stone, Carmen Valentina, and Prince Yahshua.
The people I met for the first time were: Cristi Ann, Cassidy Klein, Zoey Laine, Mia Li, Kendra Lust, Alana Luv, Abbey Rain, Bailey Rayne, and Simone Sonay.
Saturday, January 23
On this last day of this year's AVN, the people I saw that were known to me, or that I had at least met before, were: Nikki Benz, Nina Hartley, Kagney Linn Karter, Brandi Love, Emma Mae, Viva LA Muerte A.K.A. Little Pepper and her boyfriend Larry, Romi Rain, Riley Reynolds, Lucky Starr, and Valentino.
And the people I had the good fortune to meet for the first time were: Noelle Easton, Janice Griffith, Anya Ivy, Shyla Jennings, Karla Kush, Heather Lexi, models Baby Ash and Baby Sarah who were representing RubberNipple.com, Gia Paige, Anna Bell Peaks, and Celeste Star.
There were a good number of other people in attendance, but I didn't get a chance to see and speak with them. In fact, I know of a few people that I know quite well who were there; however, try as I might, I never managed to catch up with them during the entire event. This is partly because of a couple of things. First of all, very few of the stars and starlets stay in one booth for longer than two or three, in some cases four, hours. There is also the fact that some of the stars will sign in two or three different booths during any particular day. Last but not least, because the event is open to the public for the most part, the convention rooms are generally so crowded, it can take a few hours just to cover one room. By the time the room has been covered, there will be people signing who were not there when you walked by earlier.
Sunday, January 24
After checking out of the motel, Steve Nelson and Jenna Jayden went to pick up Tod Hunter. The four of us then met up at the French Market Buffet, in the Orleans Hotel and Casino, to eat our fill.
Once we had finished eating, we all went to the shoe shine stand where Tod got his shoes shined, and I got my boots shined.
Once Tod and I were finished, we all said goodbye, then Steve, Jenna, and Tod went off to take care of their business, and I hit the road home.
In closing let it be said that anybody who has never attended an AVN Adult Entertainment Expo should make plans to do so at least once in their lives. They should certainly have a good time.
In addition to the four day trade show, there are lots of related events and parties during the evenings plus there is the AVN Awards Show on Saturday night.
Anybody who can find the time and the money should not only attend the event someday, but they should plan to attend all four days and purchase an all inclusive VIP 4 Day Pass.
