Industry Veteran D. Wise Passes

On February, 22, at 4:30 AM EST, Adult Industry veteran Devon Wise, known as D. Wise, died after suffering a pulmonary embolism June 2015, that left him with damaged lungs and a traumatic brain injury. He was cared for in a rehabilitation facility in New Jersey until his death. He was 50 years old.
Born in Queens, NY, he moved to California and started as a talent recruiter and management in the mid 1990s. He moved to performing, then afterwards producing and directing. He had two companies, Global Management and his production company Cheeky Pictures. Under the Cheeky Pictures imprint he produced his DVD series, "Chasing White Booty" through Multimedia Pictures' Notorious Productions. He won an AVN Award for Best Orgy, produced by Evasive Angles, and an Urban X Award for inspirational tribute in 2018.
He contributed to the industry as a content producer for different companies. Forty Plus, Sensational Video and Shooting Star to name a few. He entered a distribution deal with Hotmovies.com and worked with the cam site naked.com owned by BangBros.
He introduced many people to the industry including talent, cameramen, and editors.
He moved back to NYC in 2011 where he organized a small group of independent talents to work under him and create content for their individual clips stores and websites.
He is survived by his family and numerous friends in the industry.
