Myles' Weekend Adventures: Spotlight Studios, the Golden Age of Adult Cinema, house dancer Persia
Bonjour mon Amis! Comment ca va? Myles Shaffer here. This column will be about a new adult studio's grand opening party and a very interesting live stage show that was produced by David Bertolino. I will also mention a house dancer that I am acquainted with. So, let us move along without any further ado.
Spotlight Studios' Grand Opening Party
Friday night, February 24, I drove to Chatsworth where I met up with my Editor-in-Chief, Steve Nelson, and attended the Spotlight Studios' Grand Opening Party.
Some of the other industry people that were in attendance were: James Bartholet, Edyn Blair, Ariel Blue, Bailey Brooke, Delotta Brown, Lilly Cade, Alyssa Cole, Kat Dior, Kinky Gaga, industry photographer Rick Garcia, Tod Hunter, Isaiah James IV, Ron Jeremy, Alex Lovell, Rebel Lynn, Skylar Madison, Mya Mays, Magdalene St. Michaels, Kat Monroe, Zoey Monroe, Norah Nova, Nari Park, Quinn Quest, Tee Reel, September Reign, Samantha Rone, will Ryder, Natasha Starr, Kimber Woods, and Whitney Wright.
I am still wondering whether or not I might have seen more industry people at the party had I managed to arrive much earlier than I did. (Getting behind schedule and arriving somewhere fashionably late is not always a plus!) I was told that there had been some more industry people who had come and gone, no pun intended, before I arrived.
During the party, there was a DJ spinning discs. There was also a nice looking young topless female bartender serving free drinks. In addition, there were some tables set up and covered with tasty-looking sandwiches. (It was too bad that I had already eaten my fill earlier in the evening. You can't beat free food. [Later in the evening, I observed Ron Jeremy taking full advantage of the free sandwiches.])
Shortly after I arrived, Steve took me on a tour of the studio from the front end all the way to the back wall. As we were touring, I got an eye full. I saw people I knew. At one point, I glanced through an open door and saw Quinn Quest and a young man I didn't recognize on a bed having sex doggie-style apparently for a webcam broadcast. (I might have played the dirty old peeping Tom bit and lingered for a while, but I needed to catch up with Steve.) Near the back end of the studio, there were five young women, I think it was, having fun together in a jail cell set. I'm not sure whether they were doing a webcam broadcast or just having some fun for the fun of it.
All in all, it was a very good event, and I am certain that everybody had a world of fun during the evening. I know that I enjoyed myself immensely.
Saturday night, February 25, I drove out to the Rialto Spearmint Rhino to see a feature entertainer that I am not able to write about.
On the other hand, I can say a little about house dancer Persia.
Persia not only works at the Rialto Rhino, but she also dances at the City of Industry Rhino depending on what day of the week it is.
Persia is very friendly, has a good sense of humor, and she is fun to chat with.
Persia is a good-looking woman with blonde hair and green eyes. She is five feet ten and one-half inches tall. All I can say about Persia's weight is that it is appropriate for her height. Last but not least, Persia's measurements are 36D-30-36.
Persia told me that she can be found on zbone.com and bonedin.com. I took a look at both sites, but I did not dig into them any deeper. The reason being that to do so requires a person to join as a member. I don't know whether or not the sites cost the members any fees, and it doesn't matter to me anyway. I simply cannot spare the time to bother with the sites. My time is better spent doing the research needed to know whereas many feature entertainers will be appearing, adult industry conventions and trade shows will be taking place, and adult industry parties and awards shows will be happening as possible.
The Golden Age of Adult Cinema
Sunday evening, February 26, I went to the Cupcake Theatre, in North Hollywood, to attend the final presentation of, "The Golden Age of Adult Cinema," which was produced by David Bertolino. There were three installments of the show, each taking place one week after the other, with four different veteran adult film stars and a special guest star from, "The Golden Age," taking part in each.
The show was hosted by Nick Santa Maria. Nick interviewed veteran adult film stars from the, "Golden Age," in the following order. First was Rhonda Jo Petty. Next up was Kelly Nichols. Kelly was followed by Serena. After Serena came Annie Sprinkles. And last but certainly not least was surprise special guest Ginger Lynn.
During the show, Nick conducted a candid conversation with each of the ladies about their personal lives as they were growing up, during their adult film careers, and after they retired from the adult film industry.
After the show had ended, I overheard one man express that he was somewhat disappointed with the show. He didn't care for the fact that the conversations with the ladies concentrated on their personal lives rather than concentrating on what they did in their films, on the sets, etc. I did not say anything, but I definitely did not agree with the fellow. I found it to be quite entertaining to hear about the ladies' lives as living, breathing, human beings with their own personal lifetime ups and downs.
As I already said, the show was entertaining, educational, and quite funny. Nick was especially funny and entertaining. He did a great job!
The late legendary Bill Margold wrote about the show, "They were outlaws on movie posters and X marked their spot!
The lusty legends of the Golden Age of Adult Cinema rode the wanton waves of the silver screen during the sensual 1970s and the erotic 1980s… dazzling damsels in undress… and their lascivious likes will never be seen again.
Until now!
Here, quite possibly, is your last chance to meet them… and to appreciate them.
Collectibles will be available and molten moments will abound."
Dr. Susan Block was there broadcasting her one-of-a-kind live Internet radio show from the lobby.
Some of the other people in attendance during this final installment of the show were: Penny Antine who writes under the nom de porn Raven Touchstone (Penny/Raven also works as a photographer, and she has additionally worked as an adult film co-director.), Tom Byron, Lily Cade, Melissa Hill, Ron Jeremy, Cass Paley, Hershel Savage, and Matthew Worley.
After having seen and enjoyed the final installment of the show, I am really sorry that I didn't manage to attend the first two installments!
For anybody who might like to do so, they can still go to thegoldenageofadultcinema.com and check it out.
That will bring us to a close for now. We should all meet back here the next time and continue the ongoing discussion of fun times and beautiful women. Until then, everybody stay safe, have a great week, and live life as if there were no tomorrow!
Bonsoir et au revoir,
Myles Shaffer
